Default Which short block?

Hey guys I searched the forum and I couldn't find a definitive answer. I got a 98 z28 with 147k miles.. Oil pressure is getting a little low so I figure I'm gonna build me a short block for now and when this ls1 gives up ill swap em out.. My question is what blocks will be. Direct drop in? Im thinking a 6.0 out a truck. What yall recommend?? I figure once this motor goes I'll make a street/strip out of here.. More cubes and either a procharger or nitrous.. But for now I just wanted a block to tinker with in my garage lol

i like ls2s myself.

its not a complicated swap and you have more cubes to work with.

id get a H/C setup but PCs are pretty bad ***.

I went with an LS2 but for the money you can't beat an LQ4/9 iron block.

Give us a call if we can help in any way, We have some great deals on short blocks starting as low as $1619. We also have a large line of boost and nitrous engines.
Thank you for the plug HCI2000SS, As always we appreciate it.

Keep your eyes open local to you and see what you can find. If your not in a hurry you can take your time and wait for the right deal.

Check Craig's list and call some local salvage yards. There's no telling what you might turn up.

Good luck and have fun.

LQ4/9 bottom end and run some bigger bore heads.
