LY6 build Hi everyone. New to the site and fairly new to LS's. Here's what I'm trying to do and what I have to work with:
I have an LY6 block and stock crank that needs to be bored prob .030. I also have a set of 243 heads.
I'm building this engine to go in my rail car. I'm going to go with a carb instead of fuel inj. Wanting to get this motor to at least 600hp on motor plus spray or 800hp on motor only. Not sure if my heads and crank are sufficient. Looking for ideas (I.e. Which stroker kit,cam,heads etc. to use) on best path to take for each desired HP. Thanks in advance for the help!
