Cutout Question?

Will I gain anything by installing a cutout over just an open plated borla catback? If so where would it be installed?

Mine is custom made I have it in the back of the car. Most have the cutout more towards the front but the shop that did mine put it in the back.

Most cutouts are installed on the I-pipe just before it goes over the rear axle. As far as gains over an open-blate borla...don't really know there.

i only gained 7 peak hp over my stock WS6 exhaust so i seriously doubt that you would gain anything with a cutout over borla.

even 3-5 rwhp is pretty good for $35 parts & $40 labor.

doubt it, but it will be louder

the sound resonating under the car makes it louder.

Do you think I could possibly lose HP by installing a cut out so close to the headers? Because of lack of back pressure or do you think that I would have enough flow?

loose tq, gain high end hp.

i drove about 100 miles with mine open before the axle, and gas milage was down... im guessing because the low end power loss. it was all on the hwy too...

I gained 3/10ths in the quarter with it off. Probably the best mod you can get for the price. I paid 20 for mine... installed. Not bad at all. Plus it'll make your car sound real powerful
