5.3 performance I have a stock 5.3 with a truck intake sitting in an 88 coupe. I have around 2200-2500 to spend on the motor. I've seen some guys piece together turbo kits and slap them on these 5.3s for around that. Cant decide whether to go turbo build or stay NA and go with h/c and intake. Opinions?

Two totally different beasts, if you plan on doing the turbo build properly 2 grand won't cut it. I spent over 2 k for just my turbo, bov, and wastegate. I got bored of my heads cam build it 2 days lol hence the turbo, so if you get bored of things quickly fi might be the proper decision. All depends on what kind of power your looking for and what you can spend. Can you piece together a bunch of junk turbo parts from EBay for 2500? Probably.
