Default new guy needing help

ill try again since the first time i didnt have any luck I have a dirt modified and have ran traditional small blocks my whole life. I decided to go to an ls engine this year. here is what I have. I have a 408 with compstar crank and compstar h beam rods diamond pistons in a LQ9 block. My question is I have heard there may be some oiling issues with these type blocks at high rpm. I will be running over 7000 rpm ALL the time. I was wondering If I could get someone with more experience to help me out on what needs done. When it is finished it will have solid roller valvetrain with ls3 heads thanks in advance like I said Im completely new to these type engines any help would be great!

If you have room on the vehicle you could do a dry sump setup. If that's no an option I would do a Melling HV pump with a aftermarket oil pan to hold a few extra QT's of oil. They also sell pans that have trap doors to keep the oil down in the sump too.

Also make sure you have good catch can and PCV setup, a vacuum pump would be a good idea if the budget is big.

rules dont allow a dry sump setup. I already have plans to do exactly what you have said with the pump/pan. Thank you for your input is there need for oil restrictors in these engines?

LS motors already have a stock oil restrictor in the block.
