hard start my 418 ls3 trans am was sitting for about 2 weeks and today when i went to start it and it cranked for about 3-4 seconds and did not start. then i let off for one second then cranked again and it started right up. what should i look for or should i be worried.

Long cranking times and the need for multiple fuel pump primes prior to a cold start can often indicate a failed pump check valve. Has this only happened once? See what happens on the next few cold starts.

Having said that, if it only happened that once I wouldn't worry about it for now.

It usually sits until the weekend every week and will start right up. I have let it sit for about 2-3 weeks awhile ago to and it started right up. Not sure why it happend this time
