Cant identify engine? Is it possible? Hey everyone,
New to the forum and have a few questions !
I'm sort of familiar with the LSX engines.
I have a gen iii 5.3, gen iv LS2, L92 and a mysterious engine.
It's an all aluminum 5.3. At first I thought I had an L33. After doing some research, I saw it was a gen iv block... Has the knock sensors on the sides and came with dod. So I saw the LH6 has all those features. Today I finally opened the engine. To my surprise it's a gen iii crank 24x reluctor and a black crank sensor.
I highly doubt anyone did the conversion.
Is there such thing of a hybrid? Or a mid conversion before they went straight gen iv? I'm guessing it's powered by a 24x PCM? I do have a spare 24x PCM and harness but maybe just add the extensions? Or swap cranks?
