Question about hurst skip shift?

Question about hurst skip shift?
I recently bought the hurst skipt shift and was wondering if the skip shift light is still suposed to come on or not. Mine still come's on is this right?

Skip shift eliminators will not interrupt the Shift Light Circuit. Either use LS1 edit, or disconnect the light ground discrete at the PCM. Cut the wire and cap the ends. The PCM will store a fault for the lamp control circuit being defective, however it will not trigger a SES light.

Hurst makes a !CAGS? Didn't know that
Or are you saying you bought a Hurst Shifter? If you bought just a shifter, then no that will not eliminate the skip shift. That's something different
But yes, when you disable CAGS, the "shift" light will still come on. It won't go away until after you have engaged in another gear (normally 2nd)
