Default Question about hurst skip shift?

I recently bought the hurst skipt shift and was wondering if the skip shift light is still suposed to come on or not. Mine still come's on is this right?

mine doesnt but I have LS-1 Edit but I think if your just buy a skip shift emliminator it still stays on...I think

Skip shift eliminators will not interrupt the Shift Light Circuit. Either use LS1 edit, or disconnect the light ground discrete at the PCM. Cut the wire and cap the ends. The PCM will store a fault for the lamp control circuit being defective, however it will not trigger a SES light.

Yes the skip shift light will come on still. Just smile knowing you don't have to shift to 4th gear.

FYI - the skip shift has nothing to do with a Hurst shifter.

I liked the skip shift as soon as put the thing on I just did not know if the light was suposed to come on or not.. Thank's for the info.

Hurst makes a !CAGS? Didn't know that

Or are you saying you bought a Hurst Shifter? If you bought just a shifter, then no that will not eliminate the skip shift. That's something different

But yes, when you disable CAGS, the "shift" light will still come on. It won't go away until after you have engaged in another gear (normally 2nd)

Yes Hurst make's a skip shift some of the sponser's sell it.

The way you made it sound was it had something to do with the Hurst shifter itself. I think that's why some of us were confused
