What is this
It's emissions vent solenoid for the gas tank vapors. It runs the vapors collected into the motor when the computer determines it's the correct time to burn them. This way the vapors aren't let out into the atmosphere and don't over pressure the gas tank. They should be pretty cheap. I thrown away a ton of brand new ones them because they weren't worth the trouble to sell on ebay.

Can this cause the check engine light to come on when your fuel tank goes from full to a 3/4?
Or would it be the black canister failing?
Already tried two new gas caps and still having issues but comes and goes as fuel level changes.
