Curious to know if anyone else's oil pressure (factory gauge ) fluctuates mine typically stays around 40 when driving but when my car is idling sometimes it drops below 40 so my question is . Is it safe for the oil pressure to fluctuate like that ? I just put a new oil pump in the motor

yep, its normal, goes down with rpms, goes up with rpms

Fluctuation when going from idle to driving is normal. How low is yours dropping? Mine drops to 20-22 after letting it warm up to OT and driving it, mine is worn bearings I'm pretty sure.

Sounds completely normal to me.
