I will assume this is for an LS1 F-body, since you didn't specify.
IAT sensor is located in the air box lid, on the driver's side near where the air lid meets the MAF sensor (it's actually located in the silencer portion of the lid assembly if you still have the stock air lid, or in the neck/collar portion if you have an aftermarket lid which eliminates the silencer.)
