Ls1/ws6 ECU
I have an LS1 out of a Ws6 but I don't have the ECU for it. Can I run a early 2000's Camaro ECU with it or do I have to run a ws6 ECU for it to run correctly? Also is it true that the ws6 ls1's came with ls6 heads and crankshaft? TIA

There is no WS6-specific PCM, they are interchangeable among all LS1 F-bodies for a given model year.
WS6s did NOT receive any special engine parts - no LS6 heads, no special crank or cam, etc. They received the exact same engine equipment as any other LS1 F-body for a given model year.
Hope that helps.

No, the WS6 is literally just a different hood, and sporty suspension. Literally everything about the PCM/Engine/Transmission etc. is exactly the same among all the F-body cars of the same year.

This is essentially correct; there are a few other small differences with the WS6 package but none of them apply to the powertrain (engine/transmission/etc.), even the suspension difference is extremely minor. The hood and wheels/tires are the primary components in this package.
