Padding under the shocks?

Default Padding under the shocks?

While I was under the car yesterday changing my differential fluid, I noticed an old padding type stuff that was located underneath the shocks and behind the wheel. One side it was completely come and on the other side it was there. When I touched it, it just crumbled off in my hand. Is this something that should be replaced? I haven’t found anything on it at all.

If you tell us what kind of car and what year,we might be able to answer your question ! I'm guessing bump stop because of 'behind the wheel'.

yea the bump stops it seems, search this in google "ls1 bump stops site:ls1tech.com"
