Default Another Trans Am sitting for years problem

I recently purchased a 98 ws-6 six speed from the estate of my neighbor, the original owners 70k miles, they were elderly and had health problems.
It hasn't been regularly driven since 2011 and was last started in 2014
When her sister sold me the car I had to get out of their garage that day as closing on the sale of the house was the next day.

I threw a new battery in it and it cranked, I could hear the fuel pump come on.
Didn't start right away, so I stopped and just got a tow truck to get it out of there.

Got it to my shop, pulled the fuel filter, it was not plugged up. Tried to siphon the gas out of it, I can hear the hose hit the bottom of the tank and it comes out dry.
Put fresh gas in it, But,

Now it will not crank, don't hear the fuel pump come on, checked all the fuses, switched the relays around, Security light comes on but goes out, no flashing, starter works when jumped at the terminals no power to the purple wire but I do get power up in the fuse box under the hood

I am going back out this weekend to work on it, I got a new pellet key to try, could it still be a vats problem without the light flashing?
Is there any other suggestions it seems odd that it cranked and suddenly not.

Thanks for any ideas or thoughts

Ignition switch or 1 of the relays, I'd bet its a bad relay. The contacts oxidize from sitting. Uder the hood on the drivers side is 2 relays centers, remove the covers and look for the STARTER RELAY. Either replace it or Swap it with another relay. Keep in mind of you swap it with the Ignition relay it may crank but not start if the starter relay is bad.

If its a manual trans car it could be the clutch starter lock out switch.

I tried the new key today, I had already switched out the relays, next item to check was the clutch starter switch.

When I got the lower panel off under the column, I found an old alarm with some sort of a battery powered key tied into the starter circuit wire.

Removed the alarm, Now it cranks, No fuel pressure.

Pulled the tank, I couldn't believe how much rust and crud is in the tank of a heated garage kept car, Next step ,fuel tank, pump, and filter.

Thanks for the help

No, I put 5 gallons in it after the hose I put in came up dry ( hoping it was just out of gas), when I dropped the tank I got about 6-7 gallons out of it.
It is pretty nasty looking inside, I ordered a new tank, filter and pump, hopefully the injectors aren't gummed up and I'll be able to get it running in a couple weeks
Thanks, Bud

I would pull the fuel rail and spray a can of carb cleaner thru it, then replace injector O-rings after you check them. Just some lessons learned from my experience. Hope you get it going!!
