I just ran across this 06 GTO for sale a couple hours from me. Looking at the pictures I spotted a tag on the back of the car saying LS7 7.0 liter.
Before I drive 3 hours to look at it, can any of you guys possible identify or confirm from a picture if this is actually an LS7? Or is it a factory LS2 with a LS7 intake and a badge someone put on the car? I know this might not be possible, but I don't know enough about them to tell by looking and figured here might be worth a shot. I did post this on the LS1GTO forum without much response.
btw, It has 75k miles and he's asking $16,500. Worth it?
Yea, I was hoping it wasn't just an intake swap. Not sure if a LS7 would fit a LS2 or why anyone would. But unfortunately before I could get there the guy called to tell me he sold it. Opportunity missed... sigh

LS7 intake ports are unique, so that intake won’t fit any other heads. Not saying that it couldn’t be adapted to fit, but that would be counter-productive as the LS7 intake really isn’t that great to begin with. I’d say it was definately a LS7 engine in that car.
