Compression issue..
Hey,
I ran into a problem in the shop today with no compression in cylinder number 6. The motor is still on an engine stand being constructed I’m 95% the way done and just need to add spark plugs and carb. I just finished bolting the rocker arms down and started to spin the motor by hand to make sure and the rocker arms were moving properly. I noticed number 6 rocker arms moving “slower” then the rest of them. I got the idea to put little blue pieces of shop towel in each spark plug hole and spin the motor over again each rag popped out but number 6. The intake and exhaust valve are both opening and closing. I also found the lifer plunger stuck and will not move up and down while the push rod is in it.
So what would cause this problem?? I’m thinking valves are not sealing. Rings on the pistons are brand new gapped for boost.
