Hey y’all. I’m new here. Hoping to not get raked over the coals for this question. LOL
I am building an LS1. I currently have a BTR stage 3 N/A cam, GM MLS head gaskets, LS7 lifters, customer supplied 243 PRC stage 2.5 heads (they were not milled and are standard height), GM rockers with trunion upgrade, and .660 BTR dual springs. My only issue is now that I have been reading into lifter preload, and my cam kit came with 7.400 pushrods. Will I be okay with this PR setup with the LS7’s?? What’s the desired preload for these things?

The only way to tell is to measure with a pushrod checking tool. Rule of thumb is the camshaft base circle gets smaller after .600 lift so 7.4 isn't always the "correct" length. Head gasket thickness will also change the PR length.
