I purchased a set of 243 heads and i installed some Texas speed (dual spring) valve springs with the stock roller rockers w/ BTR trunnion upgrade and it seems as if the valve spring retainer touches or its REALLY close to the neck of rocker arm has this happend to any body?? Or is it normal??

(Heads are off the motor)

Did the retainers come with the springs?
pics? Part numbers?

From the pics, it looks like your rockers are sitting too low on the stands? Did you use the stands that come with the heads, or change something there?

no only thing I swapped out was valve springs and trunnion an upgrade.. Is there any aftermarket rocker arms I can purchase to fit this application?

it has been a while since I took a stock rockers apart. I remember the part where the bolt goes through could sit 1 of 2 ways? Or am confusing with SBC stuff?
