Default Leave the engine in the bay or pull it for work?

I am planning to buy an breath new life into a gen-4 firebird with the LS1 engine.

I dont intend to open the crank case but do most other things on the recommended list: cam, springs, rockers, lifter, ect... and possibly a new oil pan and gasket.

I have seen that all that work can be done with the engine in the bay but... Should i just pull it out?

I would be doing driveway/home garage, so no lift, and mostly solo unless i need hands.

I am wondering if its ultimately easier to just take it out...

If you don't have a lift to pull it from the bottom or a way to pull it from the top and you are doing it by yourself in the driveway/garage, it looks like you are going to be leaving it in the car.

Finding a way to pull it out would be the best.

I only did very basic stuff: headers, plugs, wires, mounts and if I had only done one more item like the oil pan and gasket, I would have dropped the motor. Doing everything in my garage, solo.. seeing your list, I would highly recommend renting the cherry picker and pulling the motor. The additional headaches and effort required will cause you to cut minor corners and you want this to be a once and done event in my opinion.

And this is coming from someone who would hate seeing a response like this ^^^ cause I absolutely do not want to have to pull my motor. But having been a little down your path just a little... its the best way.
