I recentlreinstalled the Speed engineering exhaust on my Firebird and it my first install so learning experience all in all. This hose was attached to the manifolds on either side but I Have no idea what they do or what they are

If it was on both sides could be the tube for the A.I.R. System.

Yes, as stated above, that's an AIR tube and there should in fact be one on each side. AIR (Air Injection Reaction) is a component of the emissions system, it injects fresh air into the exhaust system. This is not something you need if you don't have a visual emissions inspection to pass. You can delete the entire system and disable the codes with custom tuning.

It would have bolted to the factory exhaust manifiold and you got LT's now so get rid of it.

I would have dumped that EGR also, we don't have inspections here in Florida.

thanks Ive got a kit coming in the mail and I'll be doing a delete
