Angry Tranny problems?

I dont know if my transmission is starting to go but when im crusing between 50 and 65 and nail it to the floor i bounce the rev limiter every time. Its an A4 would it be the trans slipping on the downshift at these speeds. Its done this since ive owned it now better than a year.Shifts fineother than that. thanks for the help guys.

Its doing it on the actual kick down (4-2 shift)? Or on the up shift after (2-3 shift)? I know a slow 2-3 is common and sometimes, especially with aftermarket stalls, hits the limiter. If it does it on the kick down then I'd say she's got too much slip.

How does it do from a standing start at WOT?

It does it from a 4-2 downshift when i nail it hard between 50 and 65 it wacks the limiter. tranny shifts fine from a dig at wot on the stock converter and normal driving.

Ive also noticed the 4-2 skip-shift does flare a little. Must have to do with disengaging more bands than for just 1 shift. I think its normal for some flare of, say, 2-300RPM. What final drive are you running?

Its not normal, even with a stall if properly tuned. Since its an 02 you still under warrenty? Get it replaced before the warrenty runs out.
