It's funny that I get bashed for bringing up John Shepard, and then you bring up top fuel dragsters/funny cars/etc. Like I said, you are all the same. You just like to think you are better than the import guys. And they like to think they are better than you.
I bought a V8 because it will get me where I want for my budget. But if I go down the track in 10.5, and there is some guy hanging next to me with an engine that is less than half my size, I'll say he should get more respect than my car. If you don't think so, that's fine. It's just my opinion.
Regardless, speed is speed. Some guy in an LS1 on here posts up a timeslip and says "I finally broke into the 11s!" Everyone goes "Hey, cool man." You hear about a DSM running 11.5s, you say "Well, there are 1098723409 V8s running 11s or faster, who cares."

HAHA, because of the extra "punch" that i have do to the stall and headers, plus the fact that discount tire screwed up my order and sold my new tires before i got up there last wensday 
. im rolling around on a tire that has the cords showing. not really a problem sense my replacment tires will be in monday morning. except that later today im schedualed to do a huge burnout on camera for a buddies video production class, I guess it would be cool to pop a tire on camera.....Right?

I know for sure that it is much more dependable. The Non-Turbo DSM's are NOT 'JUNK' Slow sometimes, but definitely NOT junk...
The car currently has 231,000k on it and still cranks on the first lick, does NOT burn crap for oil, and is so inexpensive to drive that it as not funny. Granted, The Eclipse I have is NOT a fast car, But because this 'Junk' car was (and is) so dependable I was able to put a Z-28 in the garage right next to it with the money I saved...
