need help (T-top problem)
need help (T-top problem) hey everyone,
sunday i was driving down to lubbock from amarillo and my T-top just blew off my car when i rolled the window down. The funny thing is, is that it was still in the locked position when i picked it up off the ground.
Here is my problem: I took it to the chevy house to see if my extended warranty (that runs up on the 26th of this month) would cover it and of course it doesnt "cover glass or trim like that."
So i went to the parts area and he looked up a part number for me and gave me #12344945 (also $734 and $616 @ gmpd and they dont ship glass), which was the whole kit (yet they was not for sure in what the kit had in it).
So, is the correct number? Does anyone know a cheap place to buy a new gm t-top? Or should i just go to a salvage yard?

Man, That almost happened to me. I was driving home a friend after a night of drinking and he kept screwing with the t-top lever, we were driving slow and the top came off and he was holding it by his right hand!! I stopped and and looked at him in shock and he looked shock too, but it was a drunk smiling shock and all he said was..
"Dude! did you see that, I ******* palmed it!!!"
Needless to say, I almost pissed my pants from fear and laughter.

LOL, yeah after I was done laughing I said, "Dont touch **** you drunk ****!"
i have been checking around here and the cheapest i can find is like 250, yet i did find one on ebay for a decent price. But, i just talked to my insurance company and they will replace it for my deductible (which is 250) and that also includes the shade. I think i am going to see if i can get them to replace both of them actually.
