Question
Question OK, so i'm not a newbie, but, is there anyplace I can send my instrument cluster to get it recalibrated, I took the needles off and now they're screwed. If I buy another one, how can I have my mileage saved to it? Thanks
You should be able to fix it w/o buying a new one. Why did you take the needle off? To Put a different face on it?

Okay here it goes, ( I did it too ) Go fill your car up with fuel, all the way! Get it home and let it cool off - dead cold! Grab yer volt meter or a buddies if you dont have one. get all the needles off and start your car with the cluster in. place the fuel needle at full (good thing you did step one!!) place the temp needle at the first mark (or maybe a hair below). grab your volt meter and measure your voltage at battery (around 12-13volts at idle) place the needle at your measurment. Oil pressure will be a little tougher but if your car is cold (and it should be) you will be roughly the first mark past center. Rpm should be approx 900-1000 and speed should be at zero.
This is exactly how I did it when I did my whhite faced gauges and I am off about 50 rpm according to a scanner and everything else is spot on. If you have any questions let me know!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!
