houston has a PROBLEM :(
houston has a PROBLEM :( ok i was doing some errands and i noticed that there was smoke coming from underneath my hood. i have the a/c on and i rush home. and when i get home i see that it looks like one of the lines on my a/c has been grinded away from my emissions tube? i hear a hissing noise one i turned the car off and i can feel air coming out but the line doesnt look like its been cut and i cant see anywhere else its coming from 
its the line that comes right next to the compressor. this is on a 99 t.a auto. if that helps. anyone know what is wrong?

theres two lines coming from the compressor, you will probably have to replace one whole line, then have a vacuum pulled, and a re-charge on your system.
since your system has probably leaked all the way down, you can put air/freon/nitrogen in the system for some pressure and put some soapy water on the line to look for leaks. then decide which hose you need to buy and buy it.
if its the line going into the condenser (radiator looking thing), its the hot gas line. if its the other one(suction line), you will probably have to replace everything front the firewall to the compressor because i think its one big line (has the big alluminum accumulator in line). i cant remember exactly how the lines are put together at the compressor cause its been a while since i had to pull mine off. my dad runs our family air conditioning business and i work there when im not in school.

Same thing happened to me once. I had bent the tube out of the way when changing plugs and forgot to reposition it. Rubbed a hole in the AC line. Couldn't find anyone to TIG weld the hole at the time, so just replaced it under the now defunct Warranty Gold warranty.
hey thanks for the response guys and ill try to get some pics up but i think i am just going to replace the line and get the a.c recharged. well i just bought the line which was 35 my price and can get the a.c recharged for 30
