Headlight Trouble!!!

First i did do a search. One headlight is stuck up. This has happened before but only when it was really cold not sure why. They have always made that grinding noise. Where should I start first. new motor and brass gears from Bfranker one just one or the other. Could the gears be so worn that its causing the motor to jam? Or is the motor out.

gears are cheaper then motors.
change them first if that dont work then change the motor. worst case you have a new motor AND gear

I really have no idea but can you hear a noise when you try to put them up or down? I would think if the motor is good it would make a noise trying to go up or down. Again dont know this for sure but its worth a try.

If you are hearing a grinding noise it is probably them cheap plastic gears. I have a machine shop hear that can fab up metal gears for me. Take the motor out and look at the gear. If its all chewed up and you want some metal ones (Max Life), shoot me a pm.
