ORY Question
Ok..my Hooker JH ORY will be in on Friday and I will be getting Hooker LTs in a month or two. I have a few questions:
1. Are there any advantages (gains) to installing the ORY now?
2. Will it fit the stock headers and intermediate pipe?
3. Should I have any problems with emissions (I have to test in January)?
4. Should my exhaust get louder (I am dumping everything through a cutout)?
thanks,
Ben

OR Y means it's not go cats on it. A Y pipe with cats is something you may want due to emissions testing.
I know my Y pipe attached to my intermediate pipe but I used a band clamp until I could get a custom fabbed piece done between that and my Corsa catback.
Cat-less cars sound good tho, expect the soot on your bumper cover from no cats yellowish/brown nastiness from no cats. My car is blue so you can't see it but I do clean it off once every few weeks with a cleaner wax.

2. Not sure what the intermediate pipe is but, I don't think the Hooker ORY that is designed for long tube headers will work with stock manifolds.
3. This goes back to answer 2. I don't think you can use it until you get the headers. If you have cats on your ORY then you should be ok when you do the install.
4. It might get a little louder because there are only 2 high flow cats compared to the 4 stock cats. (assuming you have cats on your ORY). If you don't have cats it will definitely be louder and raspier.
