Default Dash needle question

When I first bought my car , Every time I would start it all the needles on my dash would shoot over all the way to the right and then settle properly. Now when I start it They dont do that anymore they just kinda go to normal.. Was there something wrong with my car to begin with or? Im confused

it seems to be a common problem with the 99's mine is a 99 and it does it all the time. it could be a low battery or the battery terminals are corded. from what ive heard its nothing serious
