how to replace blinker bulb? help

how to replace blinker bulb? help The piece that the two wires go to just turns counterclockwise? or do you have to take out the 2 screws and pull the unit out?
I know this is kind of a dumb question but I don't want to break anything. When I try to turn the filament...if that's what it's called, it doesn't want to turn.
How do I replace the damn bulb?
