is this normal

hey guys is it normal to have a little black build up on the butterfly in the throttle body. it is on the face leading to the air filter. it wipes right off, and almost looks like soot. i dont know if this is normal or not, what does it mean??

Every multi-port fuel-injected car I've had gets black junk on the back of the flap. Service shops around my area commonty spray them w/carb cleaner to clean them.
