Default Throttle Cables

I was draining my catch can today and noticed that my throttle looks like it should have two cables attached. I only have one. I went to my dealer brochure and noticed that indeed the car pictured had two throttle cables. Initially I thought maybe it was for the automatic transmission (I have the M6) but I also looked through a few issues of GMHTP and noticed one other M6 car with two cables. What is this cable???? I have cruise control and traction control(and they both function so it shouldn't be anything to do with that) Any ideas.

Yep, non traction control cars did not have the servo with all the cables going to it by the battery, so the cruise control cable had to be routed to the throttle body.

Very interesting, I always wondered what the 2nd cable was for... (I have no T/C)
