Porting Techniques / Tools
Greetings,
I'm somewhat new to the LS1 world...so I was looking for some advice on porting. I'm planning to port my stock throttle body, MAF, and eventually the stock heads, too (as well as some other mods down the road a bit). I've not worked with aluminum, previously. Was wondering if anyone has any advice about techniques and / or trick tools to use. I'm expecting that a typical porting bur or grinding stone is going to load up with aluminum almost immediately and require constant cleaning. Is there a good way to avoid this? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks!
