stripper model?
Well I knew that was the only difference (and don't forget the suspension), but I thought that maybe the SS automatically came with most of the options. I guess you could have ordered it any way that you wanted, though. I didn't think about ordering it that way.
i got power windows/seat/locks on a hardtop with cloth seats that came with a MONSOON CASSETTE DECK...WTF??? how you guys get strippers and i end up with the tape player??? i havent owned a cassette since the mid 90's...

cuz gm's cheap like that....watch them put a 5 tape changer in the new camaro.

I have a 2000 SS pretty sure its only options are the monsoon (cassette) and a/c ... and i guess maybe rear defogger is an option according to the thread... is there a way to find out how many cars were made like this... I've yet to see any others like it in person.. neat to know that there are some people who bought them like this though... Like old school muscle.

In 2000, you had to take either a CD player or a cassette deck (there was NO radio delete 1LE offerred). I've also never heard of steel wheels being offerred on ANY V8 4th gen.

Yah. The dealership thought I was nuts, but I had great credit and cash in the bank, so they went along. You should have seen the eyebrows raise when I asked if I could get cash back for a shorter warranty! One of the guys asked why on Earth I would want to do that. I proceeded to tell him that the car would have a heads/cam/nitrous set-up on it within a year. He just sighed and walked away...
