Ok i drive a 99 t/a auto and all i have is d...3...2...1 what is this talk about an o/d on the shift column? do i not have it...cuz i just leave it in drive and preload when i race but iono is there something i dont know about my car?...help

You have a 4L60E trans with OD, no doubt.
On the Pontiacs, OD (overdrive) is when you have your shifter in "D". Firebirds have D...3...2...1
On the Chevys, OD is when the shifter is in "OD". Camaros have OD...D...2...1

I would suggest racing in "D" (Trans Am) (overdrive). There is a debate among trans builders as to which is better, but after hearing both sides I'm sticking with D/OD (overdrive).
