cold start up ? (17,000k on the car) with the cut out open, when I start the car up when it's cold and shift at 1500k rpms, there is a popping sound on the deceleration part, I can hear it coming from the exhaust (cutout). It goes completely away when the motor warms up to 100 degrees or so. this is not a engine tick. just wanted to know if it's any concern. :eyes: |
That would be your AIR system. Nothing to worry about at all. Or maybe its just the cold air entering the exhaust and recreating a new airfront (pressure/temperature differential). In any case, shouldnt be anything to worry about at all. I smile when mine does that  |
Mine is the same way. |
its the unburnt fuel popping in your exhaust, it goes away when it warms up becasue the ecu isn't putting as much fuel into the motor. On start up it runs really rich. |
didn't think it was bad. I actually love it when it makes that sound for the minute that it does. |
Yeah, its just backfiring, my car does this even with my crappy exhaust when I rev it cold. |
mine did it until I had the AIR tuned out of it. nothing to worry about. |
mine does the same thing, i actually kinda think its sounds badass!!! |
