headers stock?
headers stock? i did a search and got mix results on this so the question is, did headers come stock on a 98 LS1?
my search yielded both results saying yes and no. the yes were ones for sale so i wanted to make sure as my new car has headers and i am trying to find out what is stock and what is aftermarket.

All LS1s came with exhaust manifolds. If you are going to purchase a car and the owner says that it has headers, all you have to do is look under the hood to confirm.
thanks for the quick answers, i didnt think they did but when i seen people on here mention they had stock headers i wasnt sure which to think. never thought they might interchang the words.
no headers, the 01/02 models came with what some people refer to as shorty headers just b/c of the style of the manifolds, but no they are by no means a header. the 01/02 exhaust is more free flowing then the preceeding years but still not a header, headers are aftermarket parts, and did not come on any model not the 30th or 35th aniversary years....and wasnt even included on the blackbirds either
