CAM question
CAM question Hi, I just wanted to know what the hp difference is from these two cams? One cam is 03 zo6 cam and the other is a ls1 custom grind cam similar to hotcam. Here's the specs:Grind Number# HR-279-CSB

you cant necessarily base hp ratings off cam grinds. The Hotcam I would think is a lil more aggressive than the LS6 cam. The Hotcam has a Tighter LSA meaning your gonna lope more and you wil reach your power band faster.
Ultimate hp ratings is decided upon many things including ultimate compression ratio(head gaskets have alot to do with this aswell), and what type of cylinder heads are being used.
Also, remember NO two cars will ever dyno the exact same. Every motor is different.
If you are looking for a mild/streetable cam I suggest either the TR224 or 228.

I think if you want something mild go with the TR224. This cam is probably one of the most popular grinds for the LSX motor. Excellent driveability.
