Default Buying Headers

Lookin to get some headers for my 1999 z28. Not sure what to get though. I want it to pass smog but also gain a lot of hp. I was thinking of getting some QTP's or Kooks with electric y-pipe cut-outs. Is it possible to have electric cut-outs before the catalyic converters on the y-pipe. Would it be better to get true duals with the same set-up if possible?

Didn't you just ask this in another section?!!

You'll more than likely pass the smog test itself but you'll fail like a retard( sorry...leaning disabled) take'n a Chem final when it come's to the visual inspection!

When's your SMOG test?? If it's soon, just throw some headers on AFTER you pass. . . Then you have 2 years to find someone who will overlook the visual inspection... My QTPs came in yesterday, and as soon as I return from Italy in May, I'll be smogging and then installing headers.

Or, you could get some shorties if your that worried about it. But expct minimal gains that way.

haha ite im prob gonna smog it before hand, then go with some qtp's race style and electric cut-outs for the y-pipe but customize it and put some cats after the cut outs so at least i can pass the emissions test and just get someone to write off the visual. good idea?
