Default Sluggish performance after first mods.

Ok, so I installed my first mods recently. First was a built 4L60E w/ a 3500 stall capable of 700 rwhp. Second was race pacesetters (!AIR, !EGR, !rear o2's) complete with True duals dumped at the axle. I took it to the track and got a terrible time of 16.6 E.T. WTF! Where should I be with these mods? My gears are stock 3.23. Could that be a factor? Also, when I foot brake at the line the rpm's stay at 2500. This is with the pedal to the floor, is that normal? The car launches like crap. How does one launch with a stall? Am I doing something wrong? I am definitely missing something here. I'm still learning the in's and out's of this car so please help!

Here in Michigan are car with that similar work done sould go low to mid 13's

I know the weather will play a factor, and since your in HOT New Mexico it could have something to do with it. Although it's not humid there like it is here........

Wow, that is bad.

Post your whole timeslip, location of the track, and date/time of the run.

I did floor it. The GO pedal is on the floor and it just sits at 2500 rpm's. Weird or what?

Maybe you’re spinning the tire’s too much video tape you’re car at the track next time. Or work on you’re suspension. I have the same problem with my 00 SS a4 built 4l60e.

You should not be able to put the pedal to the floor and not be blowing the tires off, footbrake or not. I'd say something is very wrong. What was the MPH on the 16.6 run?

Doc was tellin me that these cars have 'torque management' systems on them, sorta like the trucks, that may be causing some problems, also do you have a tune cause without the rear 02's you might be having probs on a stock tune, maybe emissions are doin ya in, dunno without being there

I would bump up the spark timing and fuel enrichment after adding headers and exhaust.

A tune is definately a must but you still should have had a better time than that. Did the car feel like like it was backing itself off? If you forgot to turn the traction control off and you started to spin it may have backed out of the throttle resulting in your poor time.

Are you sure you're not in a V6 Firebird? I don't even see how its possible that an LS1 Formula only ran 16's.

It sure as hell sounds like an LS1 with the TD's . But I don't know what to look for 'cause the good guys at TSP just did my tune. It drives a whole lot better on the street. They said it could possibly be something with the tranny but the tranny builder said it needed a tune. I got the tune, now what? Could it be something with the fuel system? Another question, how do I launch with this transmission? Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Before this car all I've had are manual cars.

I sure it needs a tune but lets here more about how it stalls. If you were sitting still at idle at the track and you floor it how high will it stall? If your just rideing down the road how high do you let your car stall so it can run thru the gears. I'm not talking about flooring it but as if you were trying to save gas kinda feathering the throttle. I wonder if they sent you the wrong
stall.

Lets see some time slips. We can't help you till we know what needs fixing!
