Default Code question?

Every once and a great while i get a light that pops up on my dash. I don't recognize what its relating to. I checked my repair manual and couldn't find a place where it described what these symbols mean. The symbol that pops up is a square with an arrow inside pointing down towards a low level of some kind of fluid. As i stated i don't know what its relating too. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

The sensor goes bad all the time. If it keeps giving you trouble and coolant is fine you'll have to replace it, or disconnect it to keep the light off like some do. My car didn't even come with one.

Wow. Thanks. I didn't think so. I always check my fluids... so its a sensor for the thermostat?

Just monitors the coolant level - it's on the radiator a few inches below the radiator cap. If I'm correct GM took them off the F-body starting with the '00 model.

Thanks. Yeah every great while mine pops up and i didn't know what it meant. Kinda freaked me out. So i would always check my fluid levels. But no drastic levels.
