Ignition dead?
Ignition dead? Hey guys, another one of those help needed threads 
Tried starting up my z28 20 minutes ago, and when I put the key in, it made the beeping at me that my door was open like normal, then when I went to turn the key, nothing happened.
Nothing at all, no engine trying to startup, no sound at all.
But if the key is just slid in, it has electricity i guess.
only when i turn the key to start it, it goes silent.
Also, they gauges are just spiking up randomly.
The water temp and my fuel just keep fluctuating randomly fast.
and then the RPM meter shot to about 6000 then went silent....

EDIT: and i also tried my other key too, didnt work

could it also have anything to do with the alternator if it isn't charging the battery properly/at all?
When the key gets inserted, no lights at all come on, let alone my headlights
