Default Differential Lockers

Hey guys,

I'm new around here just getting into the f-body realm. My dad had 2 firebirds when he was growing up and now has a 67 SS Camaro. I'm looking at purchasing an LS1 T/A in the spring. I currently drive a 97 Wrangler, modded and I wheel the snot out of it of course. This brings me to my question. Do you guys who race use differential lockers like the ARB to gain traction?

these cars come with either torsen or auburn limited slip diff's from the factory, which are good enough for most people. those that move up to 12 bolts or 9" fords run a locker, but it's pretty much a given.

Good question. Many serious racers have a dedicated track car and run a spool. But I am also curious if anybody is running an ARB air locker in an F-Body. Sounds like a good option to me.

In my opinion if you can afford it, an ARB is much better than a spool in the rear. Being able to lock and unlock your diff with the flick of a switch is incredibly useful.

I'm not just limiting it to ARB though, you could go with an OX, Eaton, Detroit, etc.
