3.73 gears great, exhaust all depends on which one you get. My magnaflow added 15hp!

yes the gears will give you better acceleration. Exhaust really depends on what you plan on doing. Most guys are fine with some longtubes into a y pipe and a decent catback. I figure you could get around 20-30 hp with full exhaust

Do not put gears in your stock 10-bolt rear. Just get a 12-bolt or 9" with 3.73's. Buying and installing gears in the stock POS 10-bolt is just pissing in the wind.

Exhaust? Read the sticky threads and try a search. Question has been asked 11enty billions times.

Peace,
Craig.

I agree ^ When I put 4.10's in my stock 10 bolt I really wished I didn't do it. I spent $500+ on the gears and installation. After they were installed I had so much gear noise I really just wished I left them alone. When I bought my 12 bolt with 3.73's I also had a lot of gear noise go figure.

I don't have gears so I can't comment on them but as far as the exhaust the SLP dual/dual system is one of the best flowing systems out there. Go to http://www.ls1sounds.com and see what you think sounds best. As long as you stay with a respected manufacturer you really can't go wrong.

If your an m6 get 4.10's you wont be dissapointed. If your an auto go 3.73's I don't know why people hate on the 10 bolt so much I have gears in mine and it runs strong. They are hit or miss I have seen cars run 10's on the 10 bolt. As far as exhaust you need to hear diff setups to get an idea of what you like. I think SLP Loudmouth sounds the best for a catback, either that or GMMG. Someone already posted it but check out LS1Sounds.com and that will give you an idea. Check around for a local group that you might be able to hear some in person because you just can't get the full experiance over a computer and some speakers. Good luck.

Texas Speed has their true duel setup if you like that sound, and its fairly cheap for the system without the trouble of having to do it yourself. 460.00 and if you want a set of cheap headers they have the pacesetters at 300.00 to 400.00 more.. I would opt for Kooks though with the high end merge collectors. They are a couple bucks though. I dont know if they offer the X pipe setup in stainless though or not? Don't wast your time with the rearend, wait until you can afford a 9" True duels sound tough and they have diff types of muffs to offer. If you do it right and tune the car, choose the right muffs and remove the cats you should get at least 30 hp.

Deff go with the gears,... SLP LM1 if you want a screamer! ...love mine!

Most all cat backs will give you 10-15 hp but they only show their real true colors after you go with LTs.
