Hi i have 73k on my 2000 ss , i get awful gas mileage like 12/22 mpg but i really not to worried about that the real problem is for the past 3 weeks when ever i make a sharp turn my car makes an load noise that sound like my engine belt just came off it also makes this sound when i jam on my brakes any ideas wtf this is had my tires rotated and balanced 1000m ago and changed both engine belts as well and i still hear this noise.

does the car shake?

its a whistling noise with a lite grinding noise, it sounds like your going in reverse at 40mph (i have a M6)

If its from the engine bay, you might just need to change your belts....Serpentine Belt and A/C Belt.

If it's coming from the rear.....it might be your rear end
