Default New LS1 owner
Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and have recently just bought a 1998 Z28 Camaro. I have a noob question to start off with. An oil change is due in about a couple hundred miles or so and I have decided just to do one now, but I am curious to as of what kind of oil I should use and what would be the best choice of filter?

I hear Amsoil and mobil 1 are popular choices, but I am curious to see everyones opinion.

welcome...i only use mobil one fully synthetic....royal purple is also a popular choice, and use a mobil oil filter as well

mobil 1 10w30 and mobil 1 filter here too.

So 10w30 mobil 1 is good for this car? And I will be posting pics just that their is alot of storms in the area and I want to clean it up before posting

i changed mine yesterday and used a acdelco filter and 10w30 penzoil platinum since i heard its real good oil

lol, happen to live in kansas? i cant keep my car clean for more than a day. i trust mobil 1 oil and oil filter. thats what i use on my dd.
