Monsoon Help Ok, I dont think I have the full monsoon system but its an 2000 ss camaro and I opened the door panels and there is the monsoon looking speaker with 4 wires going to it. I have some brand new decent component speakers and am running low on cash at the moment and was wondering If I could just hook two of the wires to the new component speaker and it would sound alright? Also, Is there 6.5" woofers in the panels right behind the driver and passenger seat? Are these considered the subwoofers on these cars?
of the 4 wires 2 are for the woofer and 2 are for the tweeter, im pretty sure thats because they are alread crossed over therefore i just ran the 2 woofer speakers to my componunt woofer and the 2 tweeter wires to my component tweeter and never used the crossovers that came with my componunts.
Yes the sail panel woofers are subwoofers, i replaced them with a plate I fabricated with another pair of compomunts I had and ran them off the amp.
I have the deck powering the front componunts and a 4 channel amp powering the rear compounts in the sail panel and a pair if 3.5 coaxel's in the back along with a 2 channel amp in mono running a JL10 in my stealth box, sounds pretty good
