MAF Question

MAF Question So I took out the maf when I was cleaning the air filter and noticed one of the wires inside the maf was bent over where no air would pass by. not the whole wire, just the short part that leans over at 45 degrees if you know what i mean. i used my finger to bend it back into place without thinking about the whole "DON'T TOUCH MAF" advice I see everywhere. nothing broke and everything's perfect, but will this affect driveability or anything. i'm picking up some maf and throttle body cleaner tomorrow, btw. does anyone recommend seafoaming? the TB had some gunk around it, and it has me worried.
id suggest giving it a gould spraying with the MAF cleaner and you should be fine as long as nothing is broke. was the car acting wierd before this? and cleaning the throttle body with TB cleaner wont hurt anything it will only help but if your going to do it go ahead and pull the Idle Air Controller(on the side of the throttle body the one on top) and clean it really good as well but dont start the car or turn the key with it out. clean it real good and clean the port for it there WILL be **** that comes out so use the can if you need to. plug it back in and your good.
then start the car with the TB exposed and spray a little at a time into the TB with the TB cleaner and it will almost die but if it does just start it back up and do this a couple of times and youll be gold.

Is this process the same for ETC throttle bodies on vettes? the car was running fine before, except right after I cleaned the air filter last time for a short time(probably got oil on the maf). I just decided to clean as much as I could since it's probably gone 55k miles without a good cleaning.
yeah its the same, if you run a filter that needs to be oild after a cleaning and you over oil it(it could even do it with the perfect amount of oil) it will suck it through the MAF and any oil that touches it basically sticks and catches any dirt or anything that passes the filter and gunks it up. just give it a good cleaning and you should be good bud.
