Default How long...

Can my car sit for without being started?

I know its not good to just start it and let it get 'up to temp', cuz the oil takes a lot longer to get up to temp and does other stuff to the engine(i forgot, there was a thread couple weeks ago on this).

But I am leaving my car and won't be back until Dec. 22, what should I do? Also, should I leave it with a full tank of gas or barely any? What about other fluids?

I left my 98 Formula unstarted for 4 months during one winter that I stored it. No problem whatsoever. I put a trickle charger on the battery every once in a while to keep it topped up, I made sure to change the oil right before storage and I put it away with a full tank of gas.

You definitely want a full tank of gas because otherwise there will be more room for condensation and more water will contaminate the fuel. This can apply to any of the other fluids as well.

west palm isn't too far from me, i'll drive it until you get back! Seriously, patman is right on the money, those are the same tips we use when storing some of the cars we keep in our collection at work. some have the battery removed from the car, but I think leaving it in with a trickle charger will work fine.

Thanks a lot. I can't change the oil though. It is almost time for a change too. I will do that first thing when I get home.
