Default charging problems!

i had just recently bought a 99 ls1 with 50,000 miles really nice car an all tha sudden my alternator went out or thats what i thought it was i had it tested its good an still not charging tha batterys good new starter have no clue im thinkin maybe the system surged an it blew a fuseable link? what else could it be is this a common problem??

check to make sure the voltage regulator wire in the back of the alternator is still plugged in. its a singe red wire going into a weatherpack terminal

wow...my head hurts.....PUNCTUATION....look it up


so the alternator checks out
the battery checks out

and all the connections are clean and tight?

get a multi-meter and start following the wires. at some point there should be a drop.

Default problem solved

well i found tha problem why tha alternator isn't charging. i traced the hot wire from alternator to the battery an bout 6 inches from the battery i grabbed the wire an it was ate up by corrosion, thanks for help anyways.
