Grrrrr.... So this battle between me and my 99 goes on. I scored a "Slowmaster" today. Pep boys had a sale on em, and actually had an 80 series in stock. So I bought the muffler, and a pair of 4" tips and drove over to the local auto shop and had em weld it all up. Looks sic from the rear, without being overkill. But untill the package from jegs gets here on the 3rd. It's got a muffler and a bbk 80mm tb. It is an improvement over stock to say the least. But I still think it sounds underwater. I remember my 97 with the lt1 had same exhaust, and a moroso honker. and that evil bipolar gothic girl would trigger car alarms. Any Ideas / Advice?
1.ditch the flowmaster and get magnaflow
2.get some pacesetter lts
3.get an ls6 manifold from the classifieds section
4.get some lower control arms, relocation brackets, torque arm and subframe connectors
5.lower it, get some good shocks, Koni DAs/bilsteins
6.get a 12bolt/9in
7.get a cam/springs/pushrods kit
8.get a tune
9.get a 2nd or 3rd job depending on how much debt youre in.

I would've put a bullet muffler in instead of the flowmaster. If you are lacking funds for a full catback, you could install a cutout. Great flow and cheap. Watcha getting from jegs?
